What is a Doula? 

A Doula is a keeper of the threshold. She is the one who holds the lantern while you walk through the fire — not to shield you from the intensity of it, but to remind you that you were made for this.  A birth doula walks alongside you through one of the most powerful passages of your life, offering comfort, presence, and unwavering support so that you never have to labor alone.
My role is to meet you where you are — in birth, in loss, in the in-between — and hold space for whatever this moment asks of you. This includes birth, miscarriage, and abortion; whether at home or in a medical setting. .

Why should I choose you? 

As somebody who is both a mother as well as a woman who died for 12 hours and miraculously revivified without intervention, I am first and foremost experientially well qualified to understand this work in body, mind and spirit.
I have received official certification for this work through Birth & Beyond KC. I can say with conviction that I am nourished by being chosen to offer my compassionate, non-judgmental presence during life’s most tender thresholds. My intention is to hold space for you with reverence, presence, and deep respect, so that you do not have to navigate these moments alone.
What I bring to this work is not just training — it is the fullness of who I am. As a yoga instructor, energy practitioner, licensed cosmetologist, and mother, I have spent years learning how to meet people in their bodies, their breath, and the quiet spaces in between. I do not show up with a clipboard and a protocol. I show up as a whole person, because I believe you deserve whole-person support.
I understand that birth lives in the body, yes — but it also lives in the nervous system, in the energy of the room, in the stories we carry about ourselves before we even arrive at that moment. My presence is attuned to all of it. When the room shifts, I shift with it. When you need stillness, I offer stillness. When you need someone to anchor the space so you can fully let go — I am there.
I also want you to know that I hold the full spectrum of this work with equal tenderness. Whether you are welcoming a baby, grieving a loss, or navigating a decision that only you could make — you will not be met with an agenda here. You will be met with open hands and an open heart, exactly as you are.
This is not a service I perform. It is a calling I answer — every single time. When you choose me as your doula, you are not just hiring support. You are choosing to be truly seen, deeply honored, and never, ever alone in what you are moving through.
